5. Rewrite the name as you want. My opinion is to rename it to “Private Folder” or “Hidden Folder” to distinguish it easily from other folders in phone memory.

7. Create 3 new folders or more in order to categorized files like Photos, Videos, Document, etc. In this way, you can select what type of files you want to hide and what type you want to show on Gallery.
8. In my opinion, create 3 folders inside your “Private” folders named by “Photos”, “Videos” and “Others” in the similar process.

In a similar method, you can also make a private folder on android SD card. Just you need to go to Android File Manage App and select “External Memory”  to create a secret folder in a similar way.

Move files from android phone to private folder

Don’t copy your files to a private folder, because it will keep both files. For this reason, Gallery and other media player will still show those files which are copied. You must move that files to your private folder in order to hide from the gallery. Steps to move files and folder from one directory to private folder are given below:

1. Navigate to the desired files and folder which you want to move to your private folder.
2. Long press on it which will select that file which will also provide some other options.
3. You can tap on “Select all” to select all the files within a folder. This is the easiest and quickest way to select all files instead of selecting them separately.
4. If you want to deselect one or two files among numerous files. First, select all files and then deselect those 2 files by tapping on them. This is the faster and easiest method to file selection.
5. Now tap on the “Move” option and navigate to your “Private” Folder by pressing back button.   
6. Finally, tap on “Paste” option to move the file permanently from the previous directory to your “Private” folder. 

You can move any amount of photos, videos, files and folder to your private folder in this way.
