How to Hard Reset Galaxy S5 and Factory Reset Galaxy S5

How to factory reset galaxy S5  in normal reset mode or wipe cache partition mode of Samsung Galaxy S5? 

It can be done in two ways:

i. Factory Reset Galaxy S5 Using normal setting menu:

    1. At first you have to open the setting menu

    2. Go down to the ‘User and Backup’ option and select it.

    3. Find ‘Back and Reset’ and tap on it.

    4. Now press on ‘Factory Data Reset’ to factory reset galaxy S5.

    5. You have to confirm to ‘Factory Reset’ your Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone.

    6. Now enter the alternative password.

    7. Finally you have to wait for completion.

ii. Factory Reset Galaxy S5 Using Hardware Keys:

    1. At first, turn off your smartphone.

    2. Secondly, press and hold ‘volume up’, ‘home’ and ‘power’ button simultaneously.

    3. When the phone vibrates, you must release the ‘power’ button but holds the other buttons.

    4. Then the ‘Android System Recovery’ screen will appear. Now release all buttons.

    5. Go to the ‘wipe cache partition’ menu using ‘volume down’ button.

    6. To select ‘wipe cache partition’, press the ‘power’ button.

    7. Now ‘Reboot System Now’ option will appear. And then press the ‘power’ button to reboot your               Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone.

How to Hard Reset Galaxy S5?

It also can be done in two ways as before.

i. Hard Reset Galaxy S5 Using Setting Menu:

    1. At first, tap the ‘Apps’ icon on the home screen.

    2. Now  tap the ‘Setting’ menu.

    3. Go to the ‘User and Backup’ menu and then tap the ‘Backup and Reset’ menu.

    4. Now clear the check boxes besides ‘Automatic restore’ and ‘Back up my data’.

    5. Now tap the ‘Factory data reset’ and then ‘Reset device’.

    6. Now enter your password and then tap on ‘Continue’.

    7. Finally tap on ‘Delete all’ to confirm your reset operation.

ii. Hard Reset using Hardware keys:

    1. At first, turn off your smartphone.

    2. Secondly, press and hold ‘volume up’, ‘home’ and ‘power’ button simultaneously.

    3. When the phone vibrates, you must release the ‘power’ button but holds the other buttons.

    4. Then the ‘Android System Recovery’ screen will appear. Now release all buttons.

    5. Go to the ‘wipe data/factory reset’ menu using ‘volume down’ button.

    6. To select ‘wipe data/factory reset’, press the ‘power’ button.

    7. Go down to ‘Yes-delete all user data’ with ‘Volume down’ button.

    8. Again press ‘power’ to confirm.

    9. Now the ‘Reboot System now’ option would have highlighted.

  10. Now press the ‘power’ button to start to reboot your Samsung Galaxy S5 Smartphone.
